Eye Surgery

Retinal surgery is performed in the operating room at Saskatoon City Hospital. Most retinal surgery is outpatient day surgery with local anesthetic.

Cataract surgery is an outpatient procedure and may be performed at the Saskatoon City Hospital or at Prairieview Surgical Centre. Topical anesthetic eye drops are used.
